This is a really great show idea, and I want to get involved. Since I got married in July, my life has gotten quite a bit busier. Besides the obvious daily grind, my evenings are usually filled with taking care of the house, visiting family, or spending time with my beautiful wife. So I haven't been able to get the gym as much as I used to. Combine that with a desk job and it's pretty easy to see why my body might be changing. I don't consider myself to be "out of shape", but I have started to feel a lot weaker. Slower. Laggy, if you will. And I hate it. So here are my goals:
1. Lose the Tire
Like I said, I'm not fat by any means. But I do have an annoying ring around my waist that's a little extra juicy. That means I have to eat better, sit straighter at work, and work out my core as much as possible without hurting my back. (I'm 6'4", so it's tough)
2. No Boobs
Besides my abs, this is the only other area of my body that has never looked good. I have a wide chest and a bad shoulder, so this will be a challenge. But again, eating better, sitting straight, and working out daily will help a lot.
3. Don't Skip Leg Day
I enjoy running, but I also have bad knees and ankles. I literally make cracking sounds with every step if I've been off my feet for too long. So I want to strengthen my legs by both running more, and focusing on squatting and balancing exercises.
4. Carry My Wife with Ease
This is a more personal goal and It's pretty straightforward. My wife is gorgeous and thin, and she deserves a man who can make her feel that way. So I want to have the overall body strength to carry her in my arms for at least five minutes without looking like I'm going to crap my pants. This will be the culmination of all of my training, so my whole body will need to be stronger to make this happen.
So those are my big goals. It all comes down to one thing though, and that is this:
5. Just Do It
The biggest challenge for me is time and motivation. With how busy my life has become, the only time I'm really able to work out is early in the morning. So I need to get to the gym every weekday by 5 a.m. Every. Single. Weekday. I need to get to bed earlier, and get there sooner. This also pertains to keeping up here. I want to post an update about once a week. So help me stay motivated by commenting or tweeting me @Iceman4264, and join me with your own progress.
So here is where I'm at now: 11/06/2015
Weight: 215 lbs.
Bench Press: 95 lbs. x 30
Run: 1 mile at 7 mph
Curl: 15 lbs x 60
Squat: 30 with no added weight
So who else wants to be Buff Buddies?! :-D
